TRUDON
Trudon, France's oldest candlemaker, has been turning wax into light since 1643. Founded on Rue Saint Honoré, just down the road from the Tuileries Palace, Cire Trudon and its innovations became a part of French history, appearing in a Balzac book and, more importantly, supplying candles to Louis XIV, Marie Antoinette and, eventually, Napoleon. Today, having survived revolution and the invention of electricity, Cire Trudon works with contemporary noses and designers to make distinctive, and gorgeously packaged scented candles.
